at that time many people flock to follow jesus. then jesus said to them: if anyone come to me and he very love his father, mother, wife, children, brothers and sisters, and his own soul, he can not be my disciple. and who does not take up his cross and follow me, he can not be my disciple.
because if you want to build a tower does not first sit down and planning the cost, for he has enough money to complete it? and if he had laid the foundation and could not finish it, lest all people who saw it, mocking him, saying: the man began to build, but he could not finish it.
or, no king would to go war against another king if not first sit down to consider whether with ten thousand army he could win to hold the enemy who came to him with twenty thousand army? if can not win at war, he would send an envoy to the enemy to ask for peace terms. so also everyone among you, which does not release himself from all his own possessions, can not be my disciple.
salt is good, but if the salt loses its saltiness, with what it can be salted again? there is no longer good for both fields as well as for fertilizer, and people just throw it away. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
you may believe, jesus is son of god, because for you become life by your faith in jesus.

jesus said, who exalt himself, he will be humbled and who humbled himself, he will be exalted.
because jesus saw the wedding guests trying to sit at honor place, then jesus told this parable to them. If you are invited to a wedding feast, do not sit in the place of honor, because that person might have invite a more respectable person than you, so for the man who invite you and him do not come and say give this place to that person. and you with shame sit on the lowest place. However, if you are invited, go sit in the lowest place. maybe the host will come and say to you, friend please sit in the front. and then you will receive respect in the eyes of all the other guests. for he who exalteth himself, he will be humbled and anyone who humble themselves he will be exalted."
