Do not give holy things to dogs, so dogs do not turn around and attack you. And do not give pearls to swine, so that the pigs do not trample on the pearl.
Invite, then you will be receiving. Seek and you shall receive. Knock, the door will be opened unto you.
For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
Is there one of you who gave the stone to his son, if he asked for bread,Or give a snake, if he asks for a fish?
If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
