some Sadducees came to Jesus. They are asked jesus a question about the dead will not rise again.
Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up a family for his brother.
Now there were seven brothers among us; the first married and died, and, having no children, left his wife to his brother.
The second also died childless, and the third, down to the seventh.
Last of all, the woman died also.
Who among the seven brother who became her husband on the day of resurrection? Because they all had married her. "
Jesus replied, "You're wrong once, because you do not understand the Bible, nor the power of God.
For when the dead will rise again, they will not marry again, but they will live like angels in heaven.
But as to the resurrection of the dead--have you never read what was said to you by God,I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!
And when the throng heard it, they were astonished and filled with [ glad] amazement at His teaching.
