When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up the hill and after he sat down, his disciples came unto Him.
So Jesus began to talk and teach them, saying,
"Blessed are the poor in front of God, because they were the owner of the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they sad, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are they cheapest in heart: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are they pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted because of righteousness, for they were the owner of the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you, when you suffer because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven: for the prophets suffer before you. "
"You are the salt of the earth. If salt becomes tasteless, how it be salted? No more useless than thrown away and trampled people.
