after they arrested Jesus, they brought him to meet Caiaphas, high priest. there has been gathered scribes, and elders. and Peter followed him from afar until the high priest place, and after going inside, he sat among the guards to see the end of this problem.
the chief priests, even the religious court seeking false testimony to against Jesus, so that he can in law died. but them not get it, though many false witnesses appear. but the last came two men, who said: "this person said: I am able to destroy the temple of the god and rebuild it in three days." then the high priest stood up and said to him: "do not you give an answer to allegations which these witness against you?" But Jesus remained silent. then the high priest said to him: "for the sake of the living God, tell us are you messiah, the son of god, or not." Jesus replied: "You have spoken. but, I say unto you, from now you will see the Son of Man seat at the right of god and coming on the clouds of heaven."
then the high priest tore his clothes and said: "He blasphemes God. for what we need witnesses? now you have heard his blasphemy. how do you think?" they answered and said: "He must die!"
then they spit in his face and punching him, the others beat him, and said: "try to say to us, O Messiah, Who hit you?"
