you may believe, jesus is son of god, because for you become life by your faith in jesus.
John 20:31 , John 11:1-44

Sunday, 28 February 2010

Jesus said, It is not proper to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts and cried to him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil."

23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, "Send her away; for she cries after us."

24 But he answered, "I have only been sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, "Lord, help me."

26 But he answered, "It is not proper to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs."

27 Then she said, "True, Lord, yet the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."

28 And Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith, it is done for you even as you desire." And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

29 Then Jesus departed from there, and went along by the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain and sat down there.

30 And great multitudes came to him, having with them those who were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and placed them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them;

31 So much so that the multitude was astonished when they saw the dumb speak, the maimed whole, the lame walk, and the blind see; and they glorified the God of Israel.

32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have followed me three days now, and have nothing to eat; and I will not send them away fasting, for fear that they faint on the way."

33 And his disciples say to him, "Where would we find enough bread in the wilderness to fill so great a multitude?"

34 And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

35 Then he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.

36 And he took the seven loaves and the fish, and gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to his disciples; and the disciples gave them to the multitude.

37 Then they all ate and were filled; and they gathered up the broken pieces of food that was left, which filled seven baskets.

38 The number of those who ate was four thousand men, beside women and children.

39 Then he sent the multitude away, and took the boat to the coasts of Magdala.

Saturday, 27 February 2010

Jesus said, Leave them alone and disregard them; they are blind guides and teachers.

Then the scribes and Pharisees who were in Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,

2 "Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they don't wash their hands when they eat bread."

3 But he answered and said to them, "Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your traditions?

4 For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and mother;' and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'

5 But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or his mother, whatever I might have given to you for your benefit, has been given to God as a gift.'

6 So he does not honor his father or his mother, thinking to be free from the requirement. Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

7 You hypocrites, Isaiah did correctly prophesy of you, saying,

8 'This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me.1

9 But in vain they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.'"2

10 And he called the multitude and said to them, "Hear and understand:

11 It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."

12 Then his disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?"

13 But he answered and said, "Every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, will be rooted up.3

14 Leave them alone and disregard them; they are blind guides and teachers.4 And if a blind man leads a blind man, they both will fall into a ditch."

15 Then Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."

16 And Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?

17 Do not you yet understand, that whatever enters through the mouth goes into the stomach, and is passed out and eliminated?

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile a man.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies.5

20 These are the things that defile a man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

21 Then Jesus left there, departing for the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

Friday, 26 February 2010

Jesus said to them, "They do not need to depart; you give them food to eat.

At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

2 And [Herod] said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works show forth themselves in him."

3 For Herod had laid hold of John, and bound him and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.

4 Because John had said to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her [because her husband is still alive]."

5 But when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they considered him to be a prophet.

6 Now when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and she pleased Herod.

7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.

8 And she, being instructed before by her mother, said, "Give me John the Baptist's head on a platter."

9 And although the king was distressed, he commanded it to be given to her because of his oath, and those who sat with him at the meal,.

10 So he sent and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought on a platter and given to the damsel, and she brought it to her mother.

12 Then John's disciples came and took the body and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

13 When Jesus heard of it, he left there by boat to a deserted place apart; and when the people heard of it, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

14 And Jesus went out and saw the great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, "This is a deserted place, and the time is now late; send the multitude away, so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves."

16 But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to depart; you give them food to eat."

17 And they say to him, "We only have five loaves and two fishes here."

18 And he said, "Bring them here to me."

19 Then he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke them, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples gave them to the multitude.

20 And they all ate and were filled; and they gathered up the fragments that remained, which filled twelve baskets full.

21 The number who had eaten, were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

22 Immediately after Jesus directed his disciples to get into a boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side [of the sea], while he sent the multitude away.

23 Then when he had sent the multitude away, he went up to a mountain separately to pray; and when the evening had come, he was there alone.

24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed with waves; for the wind was against them.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a spirit;" and they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I, do not be afraid."

28 Then Peter said to him, "Lord, if it is you, command me come to you on the water."

29 And he said, "Come." And when Peter had stepped down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the roaring wind, he was afraid and began to sink, and he cried, saying, "Lord, save me."

31 And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshipped him, saying, "Truly, you are the Son of God."

34 After they had crossed over the sea, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

35 And when the men of that place learned of his arrival, they sent out into all the surrounding country, and brought all who were diseased to him;

36 And they begged him to let them only touch the hem of his garment; and as many as touched it were made perfectly whole.

Jesus said,I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

The kingdom of heaven is like the grain of mustard seed and like the leaven that goes through the whole lump; both analogies show that the kingdom grows from small beginnings before it can be known. Mark further reports:

And he said, To what shall we liken to the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth. But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. Mark 4:30-32

So, in the beginning of your seeking the kingdom within, it is smaller than the tares of the world, which are the lusts, pride, worries, cares, and pleasures. But if the seed of God's kingdom is watered and fed, it grows to be the largest of all; this seed is watered and fed through seeking the Lord, through silent waiting for him, listening for his voice, hearing his teachings and commands, and obeying them as directed from God.

2 Regarding the end of the world: Mat 28:20 states, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. The disciples are not still alive on the earth waiting on the end of the world. This statement makes no sense, unless you realize the end of the world is a personal experience — as it was for the disciples — for they saw the end of the world. And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. 1 John 2:17. So the world with its lusts and passions disappear together, crucified by the aid of the Spirit. After we are purified, Christ returns to establish his Kingdom within us, and the world as we know it disappears. We enter a different dimension - paradise or the Kingdom of Heaven. Now all these things happened unto them for examples; and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world have come. 1 Cor 10:11.

The world ends as you step into a different parallel dimension, the Kingdom of God that is within and around us - it is a different dimension to be lived in, a spiritual dimension to be entered through personal tribulations while still physically on the earth; and then to dwell there forever. But, unless you enter the Kingdom of Heaven in this life, you will never have any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ or God. The Books of Acts and Ephesians helps us understand the Kingdom of God within and among us: God .. is not far from each one of us, for in him we live and move and have our being, Acts 17:27-28, and One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph 4:6- but we are not aware of this because we are in a lower physical dimension. The physical dimension shares the same space as the higher spiritual dimensions; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Eph 4:6. To enter the Kingdom of God within and around us, is to be dramatically translated to the spiritual dimension of consciousness and sight, in union with Christ and God, but walking on earth by the light of God. The world passes away from our sight when the Kingdom is entered.

3 If you die in your sins, you are going to be banned from heaven:

The acts of the sinful nature include adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like, etc.
...those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21
All with sexual immorality, pride, hatred, lying, envy, wanting more, partying, foolishness ..etc., will be banned from heaven.

You can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person..has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Eph 5:5-6
Anyone who is impure, immoral, or greedy will be banned from heaven.

Jesus said,.. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man. Mark 7:21-23
Notice, until your heart has been cleansed, you are defiled - a ravenous beast that serves yourself, rather than others.

jesus explain about kingdom of heaven

Jesus went out of the house and sat by the seaside.

2 And great multitudes gathered to him, so that he went into a ship and sat down; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

3 And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, "Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them;

5 Some others fell upon stony places, where they did not have much earth, and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.

6 So when the sun came up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them.

8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundred fold, some sixty, and some thirty fold.

9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

10 Then the disciples came and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"

11 And he answered and said to them, "Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because by their seeing [natural seeing] they do not see [spiritually]; and hearing [naturally] they do not hear [spiritually], neither do they understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which said, 'By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive.

15 For this people's heart has grown gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes [spiritual]; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.'

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

17 For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.

18 Therefore hear the parable of the sower.

19 When anyone hears the word [spoken by the Spirit] about the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way side.

20 And he who received the seed into stony places, the same is he who hears the word [spoken by the Spirit], and quickly with joy receives it;

21 Yet has he no root in himself, but endures only for awhile; for when tribulation or persecution rises because of the word, he is eventually offended.

22 He who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word; but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

23 But he who received seed into the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it; who bears fruit, and brings produces, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."

24 Another parable he put forth to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.

26 And when the blade had sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then the tares appeared also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then have these tares come?'

28 He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' And the servants asked him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them up?'

29 But he said, 'No; lest while you are gathering up the tares, you also root up the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers: First gather together all the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them; then gather the wheat into my barn.'"

31 And he put forth another parable to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.

32 The mustard seed is indeed the least of all seeds; but when it has grown, it is the greatest among herbs,1 and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches of it.

33 Then he spoke another parable to them, "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven [yeast], which a woman took and covered in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened."

34 Jesus spoke all these things to the multitude in parables; he did not speak to them without a parable;

35 So that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house, and his disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."

37 And he answered and said to them, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world, the good seed are the children of the kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one.

39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the angels.

40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so will it be at the end of this world.2

41 The Son of man will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice sin [or lawlessness];3

42 And will cast them into a furnace of fire, where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears be listening, and let him contemplate, discern, and understand by hearing. [Listen to Jesus, the word within your heart; discern and understand. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. Dan 12:10 ]

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field; which when a man has found it, he hides it, and for joy over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant man, seeking valuable pearls;

46 Who, when he had found the one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered every kind [of fish]:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down and gathered the good [fish] into vessels, but cast the bad [fish] away.

49 So it will be at the end of the world; the angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

50 And will cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

51 Jesus said to them, "Have you understood all these things?" And they said to him, "Yes, Lord."

52 Then he said to them, "Therefore every scribe who is instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old."

53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he left there,

54 And when he had come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, "From where has this man obtained this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? From where then has this man learned all these things?"

57 And they were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house."

58 So because of their unbelief, he did not do many mighty works there.

Jesus said: whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven

At that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath day, and his disciples were hungry and began to pluck the grain to eat.

2 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day."

3 But he said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, along with those who were with him;

4 How he entered into the house of God and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

5 Or have you not read in the law, how on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?

6 But I say to you that in this place is one who is greater than the temple.

7 And if you had known what this means, 'I will have mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day."

9 And when he had departed, he went into their synagogue,

10 And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days?" They asked the question so that they might accuse him.

11 And he said to them, "What man is there among you, who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold of it and lift it out?

12 How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days."

13 Then he said to the man, "Stretch forth your hand." And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like the other.

14 Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, how they might kill him.

15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew from there; and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all,

16 And warned them that they should not make him known;

17 So that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

18 "Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles.

19 He shall not strive, nor cry out; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench, until he sends forth judgment to victory.

21 In his name the Gentiles shall trust."

22 Then a man possessed with a devil, who was blind and dumb, was brought to him; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb man both spoke and saw.

23 And all the people were amazed and said, "Is not this the Son of David?"

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebub the prince of the demons."

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?

27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.

28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

29 How can one enter into a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

30 He who is not with me is against me; and he who does not gather with me scatters.1

31 Therefore I say to you that all manner of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men; but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this world or in the world to come.

33 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.2

34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

36 But I say to you, for every idle [ineffective] word that men speak, they will give an account of the same in the day of judgment.

37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."3

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees said, "Master, we desire to see a sign [miracle] from you."

39 But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41 The men of Nineveh will rise in judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, one greater than Jonah is here.

42 The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.

43 When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

44 Then he says, 'I will return into my house from where I came;' and when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so it shall be with this wicked generation."

46 Now while he talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, desiring to speak with him.

47 And someone said to him, "Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to speak with you."

48 But he answered and said to him who told him, "Who is my mother? And who are my brothers?"

49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, "Behold my mother and my brothers!

50 For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."4

Jesus said: Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy burdened; Come — not to sect services that claim he is there, not to prayer meetings, not to altar calls, not to read the Bible — but directly to him, by silently waiting on him, listening for his voiced commands and teachings. Come all of you who labor against sin; all of you who are heavy burdened with your sins. (Blessed are those who know they are poor in Holy Spirit; Blessed are those who mourn under their burden of sin.) The order, (not just to the Jews then, but to all of us who suffer with our sins) is to come to me, and learn from me. How? You must go to him. You must wait on him - listen silently, with the humility of a sinner in need of his changing power - grace. Seek, listen, obey..seek, listen, obey.....seek, listen, obey. Do this persistently, staying obedient to all the commands you are told to do, and you will experience all the promises of God, including the rest.

I will give you rest, and you will find rest for your souls. So that we enter what rest? To cease from your own labors. To cease even from your own thoughts. Since the carnal mind is enmity with God, it is destroyed by grace on the inward cross of self-denial and replaced with the mind of Christ, supplying the thoughts, the words and deeds. So that we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), 2 Cor 10:5. So that we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart, 1 Cor 2:16. So you can Strip yourselves of your former nature that controlled your conduct, which corrupts itself through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and put on the newly created nature [of Christ], which is created in God's image of true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:22-24.

When the carnal mind is destroyed, man's thoughts and labors cease; he enters into the rest of God, with God supplying the power and energy, direction, promptings, and knowledge. Man no longer works for his food. The restored man's works are powered and prompted by the Spirit of God:

This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest, and this is the refreshing; yet they would not hear. Isa 28:12
Therefore, since a promise of entering into his rest still stands, let us fear, lest any of you should come short of it. Heb 4:1
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Mat 11:29
For he who has entered His rest, has himself also ceased from his own works, as God did from His. Heb 4:10

George Fox described the Sabbath rest of the Christian, being a rest into Christ Jesus, saying: "Think not your own thoughts, for in Christ we are atop that nature where evil thoughts are, that nature [having been] taken away by Christ. So you should not think your own thoughts, do your own works, [or] speak your own words." The blood of Jesus is sprinkled on your conscience to purge you of dead works (you own will's works), so that you do works prompted by and energized by God. This blood is to be witnessed, (as in experienced); it is one of the three witnesses on earth.

Jesus said: Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Mat 6:27. Until Jesus Christ controls our words, actions, and thoughts, he is not our Lord - we can call him Lord, but that doesn't mean he rules us as our Lord, or that we obey him as his servant. Remember Jesus said: Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin, John 8:34. If we are a slave to sin, he can't be our Lord and Master because a man cannot serve two masters; he must hate one, to serve the other.

This rest is like the Sabbath rest, a mere shadow of the Christian's glorious rest, which Hebrews severely warns us against failing to enter: Since a promise is left us of entering into his rest, let us fear, lest any of you should seem to come short of it. Heb 4:1. This rest is what Jesus promised: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Mat 11:29. This is the rest with which you cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Isa 28:12. This is a serious warning to all who name themselves Christians: to avoid losing your soul and being banned from heaven, as the Jews were killed in the desert and banned from entering the promise land because of unbelief in God's promises, you must zealously labor in faith to attain the promised rest of the spiritual Sabbath, which is union with God and entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven, within you and around you.

We sit down with Christ in the heavens to enter the rest, to enter the rest from fighting our enemies; like Israel entered the rest from fighting and purging their land of the surrounding heathen peoples. Only our enemies are spiritual: lust, rage, pride, selfishness, envy, greed, covetousness, jealousy, lying, cheating, stealing, sexual immorality, profane language, and evil thoughts, etc. Salvation is to be delivered from sin and be protected from evil, (sanctified), from our enemies of sin. But you who would be a Christian and to be freed from sin — you must believe in, hope for, and strive to realize God's promise to set the captives free, to become free of sin; otherwise, you too will perish in the spiritual wilderness without ever entering the promise land - heaven. Don't be like the Jews who said they could not conquer the giants and refused to cross the Jordan to do battle, even with God fighting for them; don't say sin can't be conquered, even with God's promised help; don't say who can war with the beast? Because victory over sin, our enemies within our heart, is the promised salvation.

That he would grant unto us,
that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Luke 1:74-5

2 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; What yoke? The yoke of obedience, and the humility of learning, which requires waiting, silently, listening for his voice — which your brain does not want to do and will tell you you are wasting your time. But do not be discouraged if you don't hear for some time. Even your waiting is to your credit: Let your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping on you. Psalms 33:22. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God beside you, who acts for the one who waits for him. Isa 64:4.

You will eventually hear. Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs 8:34, Luke 11:28.

His burden is light, his yoke is easy, with no blood loss like his.

Jesus said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent,

Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished commanding his twelve disciples, that he departed from there to teach and to preach in the cities of Galilee.

2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

3 And they asked him, "Are you he who was to come, or do we look for another?"

4 Then Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what you hear and see:

5 The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

6 And blessed is he who is not offended by me."

7 Then as they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

8 What did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

9 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

10 For this is he of whom it is written, 'Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who shall prepare your way before you.'

11 Truly I say to you, among those who are born of women there has not risen a greater one than John the Baptist; yet he who is the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven is forcibly entered, and forceful men lay hold of it.

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

14 And if you will receive it, John is Elijah, who was to come.

15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

16 But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling to their fellows,

17 And saying, 'We have piped to you, and you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and you have not mourned.'

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'

19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold a gluttonous man and a wine drinker, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is justified by her children."

20 Then he began to upbraid the cities in which most of his mighty works were done, because they did not repent.

21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

22 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

23 And you, Capernaum, who thinks to have exalted yourselves to heaven, you shall be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you."

25 At that time Jesus said, "I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to babes.

26 Even so, Father, for it seemed good in your sight.

27 All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no man knows the Son but the Father, neither does any man know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal him. [The Father and the Son are only known through revelation, by the son revealing him; for the Son and the Father are one.]

28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.1 [Come — not to sect services that claim he is in their building, not to prayer meetings, not to altar calls, not to read the Bible — but come directly to him, by silently waiting on him, listening for his voiced commands and teachings. Come all of you who labor against sin; all of you who are heavy burdened with your sins.]

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and [then] you will find rest for your souls.2 [Learn from Him directly speaking to you, not reading about Him, or listening to other people talk about Him.]

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus said, fear to god who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. This is God. We must fear his disapproval, to seek his counsel and teachings, hoping to please him. If we fail to learn how to live a godly, sober, and righteous life in this present world, we will meet his fury. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged, and by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil. Pro 16:6. But Christendom does not depart from evil because they are taught with lies that God accepts them in their sins as long as they believe in Jesus. So Christendom has no fear of God. Therefore Christendom has no knowledge: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Pro 1:7. Christendom thinks the cross is jewlry and discards the necessity of every disciple carrying their cross; therefore Christendom perishes and their end is destruction.

Faith in Jesus leads to salvation just like faith in Jesus purifies the heart, but neither is instant; both require persistent seeking of the Lord's teachings and commands, with total obedience over time. Pay attention to the New Covenant's exclusions - requirements, and qualifying conditions; otherwise you too will face God's fury. To be saved means to have been saved from even the desire to sin, by a new heart and mind being given to you by God; nothing counts, but an entirely new creature, raised up with Christ to the heavens, where you sit in him at rest.

2 A man's foes will be those of his own household. When you are a true seeker of God, denying your former evil activities in the world, the basis of your friendships will diminish. As you deny foul language, revelry, drinking, carousing, etc., your friends and family will become uncomfortable and begin to attack your commitment to goodness. Your family will be used to attack you; they will be your enemies and are the sword that Jesus spoke of. But the sword that allows you to be attacked is to teach you to have patience, forgive, have mercy, love, and live by faith. From the Word of the Lord within: "after a man has demonstrated his faith, do I give him peace."

The Lord has to show us each and every problem we have, many that are hidden, and lead us (by moving the world around us if necessary) to feeling the pain of our problems - pain so great that when we are tempted, instead of a trigger to fail, it becomes a trigger to succeed. The sooner you understand that everything that happens to you has been arranged to help you grow, the sooner you will be able to forgive, and the sooner you will be at peace, rather than angry or resentful. This life is an illusion. God is far more powerful and at work around you than you can imagine. For those whom he loves and calls, he controls everything around them. (This arrangement of circumstances only occurs for those whom he loves and calls.) And if you have a deep hunger, he loves you and has called you. The hunger is his gift to you. It is his way of drawing you to him. So you will starve and mourn, and starve and mourn. But you will eventually be filled and comforted. It works. Trust Him. He created you. He is in you. He knows you much better than you do. He will change you to be like Him, leading you to purity and then to union with Him in the Kingdom within, where you walk by the Light of God.

From the voice of the Lord: "Live in the fortress of faith where it doesn't matter if someone gives you a kiss or hits you with a baseball bat," knowing everything that happens to you is totally under his control and direction. So if you get hit with a baseball bat, he is teaching you the necessity of forgiving, to ignore it, despite the pain suffered and wrongness of the person wielding the bat. Your life is an obstacle course, designed by God, for you to crawl over and through, learning to forgive and love despite the pain and injustice. This life is a boot camp to produce a soldier of love, whose weapon will be the sword of the Spirit, the word of God planted in your heart. When you realize it is God who has allowed that person to be rude, ugly, and painful to you, you can easily forgive them because they are just an obstacle of potential resentment, whose offense is to be overlooked, (or if not overlooked, to produce the pain of resentment ), thus being used by God to help you spiritually progress.

3 He who finds his life will lose it; he who loses his life for my sake shall find it. You cannot please God continuing to live in your sinful nature, even if you think you have been "saved." You must put to death your selfish, sinful nature on the inward cross of self-denial to save the life of your soul. If you choose to continue to live your life as you please, you will lose your one chance to save your soul. If you crucify your lusts and affections on the cross of Christ, in obedience to his listened to teachings, you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, with eternal peace and joy, while on earth and then forever.

Jesus gave the disciples power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and disease.

Now when he had called his twelve disciples to him, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and disease.

2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: the first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

5 Jesus sent forth these twelve, and commanded them, saying, "Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans.

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as you go, preach, saying: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons; freely you have received, freely give.

9 Provide neither gold, nor silver nor brass in your purses,

10 Nor bag for your journey, neither two coats or shoes, nor staves; for the workman is worthy of his food.

11 And whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go from there.

12 When you come into the house, give your greeting.

13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 Whoever will not receive you or hear your words, shake the dust off of your feet when you leave that house or that city.

15 Truthfully I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be as wise as serpents, and as harmless as doves.

17 But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will whip you in their synagogues.

18 And you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you will speak; for it will be given to you in that same hour what you will speak.

20 For it is not you who speaks, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks through you.

21 Brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father the child; and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

22 And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake; but he who endures to the end will be saved.

23 But when they persecute you in one city, flee into another. For truthfully I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel, before the Son of man comes.

24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25 It is enough for the disciple that he is like his master, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they speak evil of those who are of his household?

26 Therefore, do not fear them; for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

27 What I tell you in darkness, speak that in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach that upon the housetops.

28 And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.1

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground without your Father knowing.

30 The very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.

32 Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, I will confess him before my Father who is in heaven.

33 But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.

34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not came to bring peace, but a sword.

35 For I have come to set a man at variance against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 A man's foes shall be those of his own household.2

37 He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 He who does not take his cross, and follow after me, is not worthy of me. [To follow Christ you must humbly get quiet to listen for his word within your heart, then you must wait to hear Him, then you must obey Him. Self-denial occurs by obeying the Lord's voice instead of your will, (His will, not your will); this is the cross.]

39 He who finds his life shall lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake shall find it.3 [When you continually deny yourself and obey the Lord's commands, you will eventually lose your selfish life, and thereby save your soul to live Life in union with God.]

40 He who receives you, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.

41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42 Whoever, in the name of a disciple, shall give a drink to one of these little ones, even a cup of cold water, truthfully I say to you, he shall in no way lose his reward."

The teacher is Jesus.

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; otherwise the bottles break, and the wine runs out and the bottles perish; but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. The bottle is a man's heart; the heart in the body is the temple of God. Unless a man's heart and body has had the evil removed through repentance on the inward cross of self-denial, the heart cannot contain the filling of the Spirit of God; the Spirit would be lost because the man's evil desires wars with the Spirit of God and would cause it to diminish. Further, a man who had not first been purified on the cross would perish in the presence of God for only the righteous can scarcely be saved as the Lord snatches them from the fire that every man must pass through; flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. God must give us a new heart, which can hold the new Spirit.

As Jesus said in Luke 5:39, No one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires the new wine, for he will say, 'The old wine is better.' If a sinner did not first have the sins slowly purged out of his heart, while learning to hate all evil, even if that sinner were translated into heaven, he would not be happy because he could not pursue all his old addictions. A man must crucify his lusts and affections on the inward cross of self-denial before he can enjoy fellowship in the heavens.

2 Before being sent (Mark! Sent) to labor in the harvest, you must be taught, restored, readjusted, perfected, and authorized — by Christ's Holy Spirit. The teacher is Christ. You are a blind pupil. If the pupil starts teaching before the teacher has authorized him, then the blind pupil thinks he can see and is superior to the teacher. (Luke 6:39-42). You must wait for the teacher to pronounce you ready to teach; or with still more training, ready to preach, and ready to substitute for him. You must wait until you are told what to do and when to do it. If you are teaching or preaching now, from where does your authority come? You say a college or university, or your religious organization? From where does their authority come? Jesus said you must be set to rights, (as in authorized to teach or preach by Jesus himself), restored, (to the divine image of God as was Adam before the fall) readjusted, and perfected. (Luke 6:39-42). Otherwise, you are claiming superiority to Him by teaching without His explicit authority and His personal training, from Him to you; without it, by teaching or preaching, Jesus says you are estimating yourself, a pupil, to be superior to Him, THE teacher. And this authorization of being set to rights from Christ does not come by feeling, doors opening, desires on your part, or your opinion - it has to come after perfection and from spoken words from Christ directly to you, and heard by you, that specifically tell you what to do and when to do it. The Lord of the harvest specifically sends forth his individual laborers. Such authorization comes from him directly and specifically; you hear him say: you are now a teacher, or: preach repentance with remission of sins.

Until your mind is renewed by repentance to purity with God's changing grace, your preachings and teachings come from the carnal mind, and the carnal mind is enmity against God. Rom 8:7. Until your mind has been changed, your words are without life, and speak from the nature of death. You can be a great public speaker receiving the praise of men, but so did the false prophets of old. Luke 6:26.

Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?

Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"

15 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then will they fast.

16 No man puts a piece of new cloth on an old garment, for the patch that is put on will pull away from the garment, and the tear will be made worse.

17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; otherwise the bottles break, and the wine runs out and the bottles perish; but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved."1

18 While he spoke these things to them, behold, a certain ruler came, and worshipped him, saying, "My daughter has just now died, but come and lay your hands on her and she will live."

19 So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 And behold, a woman, who had been diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment.

21 For she said within herself, "If I could only touch his garment, I will be made well."

22 But Jesus turned around, and when he saw her, he said, "Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.

23 Now when Jesus came into the ruler's house and saw the flute-players and the people making noise,

24 He said to them, "Go away, for the girl is not dead, but sleeps." And they laughed at him scornfully.

25 But when the people were put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

26 And the fame of this went abroad into all that land.

27 Now when Jesus left there, two blind men followed him, crying and saying, "Son of David, have mercy on us."

28 And when he had gone into the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" And they said to him, "Yes, Lord."

29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith it is done to you."

30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus sternly charged them, saying, "See that no man knows it."

31 But when they departed, they spread his fame abroad in all that country.

32 As they went out, behold, they brought a dumb man possessed with a demon to him.

33 And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the multitudes marveled, saying, "Never has anything like this been seen in Israel."

34 But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons through the prince of the demons."

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 And when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary, and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few.

38 Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he will send2 forth laborers into his harvest." [Notice, the Lord is supposed to send his ministers and evangelists, after they have been taught and perfected, after they have been restored, after they have been authorized.]

Jesus have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

And Jesus entered into a ship, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

2 And behold, they brought a man to him who was paralyzed, lying on a bed; and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralyzed man; "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you."

3 Then certain of the scribes said within themselves, "This man blasphemes."

4 But Jesus knowing their thoughts said, "Why do you have evil thoughts in your hearts?

5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you;' or to say, 'Arise, and walk?'

6 But so that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins," (he said to the paralyzed man) "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

7 And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 And when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men.

9 Then as Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the tax collector's office, and he said to him, "Follow me." And he arose, and followed him.

10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at a meal in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, "Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

12 But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, "Those who are well do not need a physician, but those who are sick.

13 But go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Jesus said , The words I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life

Some say that since the words in the Bible are Christ's, to read them is the same as to have heard him speak words from the Spirit and Word within each man's heart. But Christ said: “The words I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life, John 6:63;” he does not say the written words, much less the scriptures or writings, are spirit and life. When Christ himself speaks to a soul, his words are spirit and life to that soul, for spirit and life are in his words, when he speaks them. But when another reads or speaks them without his spirit, they minister neither spirit nor life. For instance, Christ's calling to Lazarus when dead and buried, “Lazarus come forth;" his words were spirit and life to Lazarus. But let another read or speak the same words to a man dead and buried, and cry to him to come forth, and they will not raise him to life. (From A Christian Progress). The letter kills, but the spirit gives life. For an in depth writing on this subject, see My Sheep Hear My Voice.

Sunday, 14 February 2010

Jesus said , "Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.

when Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying down, sick with a fever.

15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose and ministered to them.

16 When the evening had come, they brought many who were possessed with devils to him; and he cast out the spirits with his word,1 and healed all who were sick.

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses."

18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes crowding around him, he gave the command to depart to the other side of the sea.

19 Then a certain scribe came and said to him, "Master, I will follow you wherever you go."

20 And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head."

21 And another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, allow me to first go and bury my father."

22 But Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead."

23 Now when he entered the ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so much that the ship was covered with the waves; but he was asleep.

25 So his disciples came to him and awoke him, saying, "Lord, save us, we are perishing."

26 And he said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 And the men marveled, saying, "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"

28 Now when he had come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, two men met him who were possessed with demons, coming out of the tombs and being so threatening that no man would pass by their way.

29 And behold, they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the appointed time?"

30 Now a herd of many swine was feeding a good distance away from them.

31 So the demons begged him, saying, "If you cast us out, allow us to go into that herd of swine."

32 And he said to them, "Go." And when they went out, they entered into the herd of swine; and behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea and drowned in the water.

33 Then those who had kept the swine, fled and went into the city, telling everything, including what had befallen the men possessed with the demons.

34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they implored him to leave their region.

Saturday, 13 February 2010

Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him.

when Jesus had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2 And behold, a leper came and worshipped him, saying, "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean."

3 And Jesus reached out his hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be clean!" And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 Then Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no man; but go your way and show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded as a testimony to them."

5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, pleading with him,

6 And saying, "Lord, my servant lies at home paralyzed and grievously tormented."

7 And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."

8 But centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof; but only speak the word and my servant will be healed.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say to this man, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith in all of Israel.

11 And I say to you, that many will come from the east and west, and will sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12 But the children [heirs] of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

13 And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; as you have believed, so is it done for you." And the centurion's servant was healed in that same hour.

Jesus only did the will of the Father. The will of the Father is obedience to his commands.

Jesus tells us that few will find the narrow way, we know many will try to enter and be unable. Why is it so hard to find the narrow way? Largely because of false prophets, which he just warned us about in the preceding verses. These false prophets deny that you must lose you life to find it, that we must suffer like him to reign with him, that we must take up our cross of self-denial daily to follow him — but since Jesus commanded it, we know it is possible. Possible, providing: 1) we have faith that God exists, that he rewards those who diligently seek him, 2) we at least believe in the name of Jesus, 3) we know how to seek him and know how to carry our cross. To read the details on how to seek God and carry your cross, see How to Receive the Changing Power of God.

From the Word of the Lord within: "Narrow, indeed, is the way. Strive to enter through the narrow gate. Few will find it. Men have stopped trying. They have plunged themselves into iniquity."

From the last chapter of Miguel de Molinos' The Spiritual Guide:

O we children of men, how long shall we follow after lying and vanity? Who is it that has thus deceived us, that we should forsake God, our greatest good? Who is it that speaks the most truth to us? Who is it that loves us most? Who defends us most? Who is it that does more to show himself a friend, who more tender to show himself a spouse, and more good to be a Father that our blindness should be so great, that we should all forsake this greatest and infinite goodness?

O divine Lord! What a few souls are there in the world, which do serve you with perfection! How small is the number of those, who are willing to suffer, that they may follow Christ crucified, that they may embrace the cross, that they may deny and condemn themselves! O what a scarcity of souls is there, which are disinterested and totally naked! How few are those souls which are dead to themselves and alive to God, which are totally resigned to his divine good pleasure! How few those, who are adorned with simple obedience, profound knowledge of themselves; and true humility! How few those, which with an entire indifference give up themselves into the hands of God, to do what he pleases with them! How few are there of those pure souls which be of a simple and disinterested heart, and which, putting off their own understanding, knowledge, desire and will, do long for self-denial and spiritual death! O what a scarcity of souls is there which are willing to let the divine creator work in them a mind to suffer, that they may not suffer, and to die, that they may not die! How few are the souls which are willing to forget themselves, to free their hearts from their own affections, their own desires, their own satisfactions, their own love and judgments! That are willing to be led by the highway of self-denial and the internal way! That are willing to be annihilated, dying to themselves and their senses! That are willing to let themselves be emptied, purified and unclothed, that God may fill and clothe and perfect them! In a word, how small, O Lord, is the number of those souls which are blind, deaf and dumb and perfectly silent!

O the shame of us the children of Adam! who, for a thing of mere vileness, do despise true felicity, and hinder our greatest good, the rich treasure and infinite goodness! Great reason has heaven to lament, that there are so few souls to follow its precious pathway. The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts; all her gates are desolate; her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. Lam. 1:4

7 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Jesus said the false prophets would come. John said the antichrists had come. Peter saw the false teachers had come. Paul saw the false apostles had come, and warned the brothers night and day for three years of more coming. And in Revelation, John saw where the whole world was to go after the false prophets and the false church, which occurred shortly afterwards. The false church is Revelation's whore of Babylon, riding the beast of many names [30,000 sects in Christendom], with horns like a lamb [resembles the true church], but who speaks like a dragon instead of speaking words supplied by the Holy Spirit, as Jesus and the Apostles did.

Many people think prophets only fortell the future, but Paul tells us, "he who prophesies speaks to men for edification, and exhortation, and comfort." 1 Cor 14:3. All preachers and teachers prophesy. If they have not been sent by God and if they do not speak the words God has told them to speak, they are false prophets: I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran [to you]. I have not spoken to them, yet they have prophesied. Jer 23:21. "The prophets prophesy lies in my name. I did not send them, neither have I commanded them, nor spoken to them. Jer 14:14. The false prophet(s) are the ministers of Christendom, not taught by the Lord's voice and light, not perfected by the Lord, not gifted with an authorized ministry, not sent by the Lord, and not speaking words from the Spirit of the Lord; rather they speak from their carnal minds, the nature of death, and preach their vain opinions from the imagination of their evil hearts.

8 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but [only] he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. You must obey Jesus to do the will of the Father. And how is one to do the will of the Father, and thus to go to heaven? Then there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, My Chosen One or My Beloved; listen to and yield to and obey Him!” Luke 9:35. Listen to and obey my voice; and I will by your God, and you will be my people;and walk completely in the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well to you. Jer 7:23.

9 I never knew you, though they called him 'Lord;' prophesied, drove out demons, and performed miracles in his name.
John says: we are coming to know Him: if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commands).
The only way you can keep his commands is to listen to his voice, hear, and obey - until the sinful nature within you has been crucified. For you cannot love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, until you have been given a new heart and mind by the love of God, received from Him over time, as you abide in his Word and Light, with obedience.

Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!
Jesus rejected the people who thought they were Christians, because they still sinned. They did not obey him.
But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do [practice, obey] the things which I say? Luke 6:46. I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. John 8:34. If we are a slave to sin, he can't be our Lord. We cannot serve two masters. Mat 16:24 Luke 16:13. You are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that is to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness. Rom 6:16. Jesus said these so-called-Christians with great faith to perform miracles will be rejected because they were still sinning; they had not crucified the sinful nature on the cross, which is necessary to belong to Christ Jesus. Gal 5:24.

The Lord is warning those who think they are Christians and still sin: 1) he doesn't know you, and 2) he will cast you into outer darkness, banned from heaven at judgment. The Lord only knows those who hear his voice and follow him. John 10:27. To hear you must dedicate yourself to silent listening to hear his voice, and then you must obey. If you listen and obey the word of God in your heart, your soul is purified by obedience to the truth, 1 Peter 1:22; and your heart is purified by faith that obeys. Acts 15:9. Jesus said: There is only one thing needed. Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her - to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear his word. Luke 10:39-42. Surely he loves the people; all your holy ones are in your power. And they sit at your feet, each receiving your words. Deu 33:3. Christendom tells their members they can remain in sin and enter heaven when they die, but this is a lie and shows Christendom is Babylon; come out of her my people.

10 Jesus concludes the greatest sermon ever preached with a critical warning! Do not disregard his teachings! You must obey them all to be saved. If you fail to obey, great will be your ruin and destruction. Only those who do the will of the Father enter the Kingdom of heaven. Mat 7:21. Jesus said he only did as he was commanded, not his will; Jesus only did the will of the Father. The will of the Father is obedience to his commands. You must Seek, listen, obey..seek, listen, obey....seek, listen, obey to ever be able to do the will of the Father instead of your own will.

To confess (say) Jesus is Lord is not enough. Jesus said he would reject many who claim to be saved Christians; many who called him Lord, who had prophesied, and even performed miracles in his name. So here are people who call Jesus Lord and do miracles in his name. They claim he is their Lord and think they are in Christ. But he told them he never knew them because they had never come to him to learn and be changed by him directly; instead they read the Bible, and listened to their blind-guide preacher. Yet he warns us: You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to me that you may have life. John 5:39-40. See Jesus Wants to Teach You Himself for more on this failing. Confess means to acknowledge that Jesus is in control of your mind, mouth, and actions; you confess him as your Lord in thought, word, and deed. Paul shows that believing Jesus to be Lord or God is not salvation, writing to churches of believers:

1. now is our salvation nearer than when we believed, Rom 13:11,
2. continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Phil 2:12,
3. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thes 5:8, and
4. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Cor 1:18. While in the inward cross of self-denial, you will see the sin slowly disappear from your life until you are free of sin.
5. godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation, 2 Cor 7:10.
6. do not grieve the holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed to the day of redemption [future happening]. Eph 4:30.
(Paul is speaking to believers in the church who have not yet been redeemed.)
7. For we are the sweet aroma of Christ unto God, to those who are being saved. 2 Cor 2:15
8. we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold firm the beginning of our confidence to the end. Heb 3:14
9. we desire that every one of you show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope to the end.
So that you are not slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Heb 6:11-12.

And Peter echoes the same message that salvation is not just believing or faith, rather salvation is the end of faith's obedient journey:

Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a time, if necessary, you may have to suffer griefs through many trials, So that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried with fire, might result in praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him; though you do not see him now, but believe in him, you rejoice with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,
Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Pet 1:5-9.

jesus tell us to seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.

Judge not, so that you are not judged. This does not mean that you cannot judge what is evil behavior vs. good; this does not mean that you cannot judge doctrine in error vs. sound doctrine. Rather you are not supposed to criticize someone else in particular because your criticism is passing judgment on someone else. This does not mean that you cannot write or speak about something in general being wrong, a lie, error, or sin; it just means you are not supposed to criticize someone else in particular. When you have sufficient Spirit of God within you, you may be prompted with words from God to pass judgment on someone else in particular; but that would not be you judging, that would be God. Just like Jesus did not judge himself: By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, John 5:30... whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak. John 12:49-50... the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He [the son] is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, John 5:19.

The reason you can't criticize others is because every man has a tangle of problems, and only the Lord knows which problem to address with a man in what order. You may see an obvious problem, but you cannot see the many others that are not apparent; and it is likely that there are other problems that must be addressed and repented from first, before the problem you see can be addressed. Only the Lord knows the order to address these problems in each man, and only the Lord can give the person strength to become different. So until you are prompted by the Spirit of God as to exactly what to say and when, and until the Spirit of God is standing by to impart strength to that person, any criticism is totally ineffective. When you criticize others you are only hardening their hearts from hearing the true judgments of God, and so you incur condemnation in proportion to the problems you cause. From the Voice of the Lord: "Never speak critically of any individual or any organization, no matter how deserving of criticism they are."

You are particularly not to judge someone outside the church; per Paul: For while I have no business judging those who are outside the church.... But those who are outside the church, God judges. 1 Cor 5:12-13.

But as for those inside the church, you are supposed to be careful to not associate with those who exhibit continued lawlessness: But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to anything that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. You must not so much as eat with such a person. 1 Cor 5:11. Now if you are forbidden to even eat with them, how much more worse is fellowshipping with them.

And the Lord tells us how to deal with someone in the church who is sinning: they are supposed to be warned by one person, then warned by two or three, then censured by the whole body of believers - and if they fail to repent of their error, they are supposed to be expelled and shunned. Mat 18:15-17.

2 Don't try to take the spec out of your brother's eye until you remove the log from your own. When you get the log out of your own eye, (by being purified), you can see clearly how to remove the spec from your brother's. So he wants us sinless and purified so we can help our brothers, but until then, we can't even see how to help - and if we think we can, we are more blind than the person we are trying to help - we have a log in our eye, and he only has a spec - who is more blind? Only when Christ has perfected us, can we remove that spec; only then can we preach or teach, after we are readjusted, restored, perfected and set to rights, authorized; then we can help - until then we just harm those we try to correct. To be restored, is to be renewed into the image of God, as was man before the fall in the Garden - which is Christ's job with all of us - to reconcile the whole creation back to God, as it was, even better, than before it fell due to the disobedience of Adam. For we cannot be reconciled back to God in our fallen state, we must be purified, restored, perfected before union can take place - union that is only possible between two like beings.

3 Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and tear you. What is holy is the understandings that you have received from Christ himself, by his revelations, by his voice, by his visions, by both, or by the deep understanding that surrounds you like you are submerged in it. These understandings will usually directly and seriously contradict the religious culture that is dependent on outward forms of ritual, with no obedience to the inner voice, with no reliance on the voice of God.

In the Old Testament, dogs licked the blood of dead men. Dogs were preachers who fed themselves, never getting enough. Dogs were blind, dumb, ignorant, watchmen (preachers) unable to sound a warning, lying down, asleep. In the New Testament Paul referred to Judiazer dogs who preached circumcision, whose confidence was in works of the flesh. Dogs tear the lambs; they are fleshly men, (still in their sinful natures), who persecute those born of the spirit. Dogs were those who preached the outward form and observations of religion, trying to preserve and justify the man of sin continuing in his selfish, sinful, fleshly nature. So today, dogs would be the preachers and teachers of Christendom. They also could be proponents of Hare Krishna, or Hinduism, or Buddhism. If you tell them your holy understandings, it is a waste of time, because all they want to do is convert you to their way of thinking. So you keep your peace. You don't try to educate the wise or correct those who think they can see, but can't.

Swine, are those who live for their own appetites, whose god is their stomach, who serve their lusts, and who are happy doing so. If you cast your pearls (your understandings, your wisdom, your revelations) in front of these people, they will ridicule them, they will mock and scoff, and their reproach will only hurt you. So, we keep our pearls to ourselves and only pass them on to those who share our commitment in fellowship. And even there, when sharing, we must speak in humility and without pride of having received the understanding, or the understanding will be missed by others and our pride in speaking will damage us.

4 For everyone who asks [persistently] receives; and he who seeks [persistently] finds; and to him who knocks [persistently] it shall be opened. The seeking, knocking, and asking must be long and persistent, with obedience to the word of the Lord heard within. This scripture, taken by itself, illustrates the common error of Christendom, which takes a few scriptures out of context, creating false doctrines such as: to believe that all you have to do is knock, and it is opened; or just ask, and it is granted; or seek and you will find; or anyone who believes is saved; or anyone who calls on the name of the Lord is saved, or anyone who says "Jesus is Lord" is saved.

Regarding knocking or calling him Lord: Afterwards the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open the door for us to enter.' But he answered and said, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you.' Mat 25:11-12. Obviously their knocking at the door did no good.

Regarding seeking: seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. Mat 6:33.
..Seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deu 4:29.
he rewards those who diligently seek him. Heb 11:6. Yes, you will find God if you seek him as the highest priority in your life, if you seek him with all your heart and all your soul, and if you diligently (continually attending to and striving to achieve a goal; laborious; persevering) seek him.

Regarding calling him Lord: Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but [only] he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you who work iniquity' [sin, lawlessness, or wickedness]. Mat 7:21-23.
Jesus said, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. Mark 7:6.
Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? Luke 6:46-49. Obviously, calling Jesus Lord did these believers no good, who in His name had cast out demons and performed many wonderful miracles; they lost everything and were banished from his presence - sent to darkness, sent to Hell.

When you read a contract, don't you look for the qualifying conditions and then the exclusions? Do the same with the promises of God. Don't let the fast talking salesmen (preachers) take your money for something they cannot make good on their promise; you are paying money for bread that is not bread and you labor without satisfaction. Isa 55:2

5 Therefore, in all things, do to others whatever you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Mat 7:12, Rom 13:8-10, Gal 5:14, Lev19:18 - strive to always obey this.

Jesus is eager to destroy sin and the works of evil in us, if we go to him.

The false prophet ministers say, "See, even Jesus' disciples sinned, so no man can be perfect." But this was before the disciples received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in power at Pentecost, the baptism that burns up the chaff with unquenchable fire, the baptism of death to the selfish, Satanic, spirit in man. Of course, no disciple is perfect and sinless immediately. The Lord teaches us, commands us, and changes us, one step at a time. This prayer is for those being discipled. But when the disciple is perfect, he is like the Master. Luke 6:40. There is no sin in Him, whoever abides in Him does not sin, whoever is born of God does not sin. 1 John 3:5-10.

Any minister who denies perfection is only trying to preserve his job because if he admitted the scriptures that show perfection was necessary and achieved, then he would be under pressure to resign as a blind guide. They want to preserve their income; they want to preserve the status of their position. And yet the Bible they claim to believe, shows the single purpose of the ministry is to perfect the saints into the fullness and stature of Christ - to present every man perfect in Christ. Eph 4:11-13, Col 1:28.

2 Deliver us from evil. The evil this prayer references is the evil in a man's heart: his selfishness, pride, covetousness, profane thoughts and words, lusts, sexual immorality, anger, greed, lying, cheating, drunkenness, stealing, etc. Mark 7:21-23, Mat 15:18-19. Every man is addicted to something in this world: clothes, sex, music, sports, cars, drugs, alcohol, preaching, taste sensations, horror movies, gossip, social causes, political causes, collecting things, etc. Jesus is the savior, the deliverer, the redeemer - who delivers us from sin and evil in our hearts, that has defiled us. He leads us onto the inward cross of self-denial to crucify our lusts and affections, and then removes them to replace them with his Spirit. God, who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Col 1:13

Jesus said, .. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man. Mark 7:21-23. Notice, until your heart has been cleansed, you are defiled - a ravenous beast that serves yourself, rather than others.

Jesus is eager to destroy sin and the works of evil in us - if we go to him.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested [in us], that he might destroy the works [sin] of the devil. 1 John 3:8

3 This is the commanded first priority of life, to seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness. Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or, 'What shall we drink?' or, 'With what shall we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need these. Further Jesus said: Do not labor for food that perishes, but for the food that endures to everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give to you; for God the Father has authorized and certified him with his seal. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes [depends on, trusts, obeys] on me has everlasting life. I am that bread of life. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, Mat 4:4.

Jesus tells us how: it is not by reading the Bible, it is not by going to a building and listening to someone talk, it is not by asking God for what you want. You must go to him. You must wait on him - listen silently, with the humility of a sinner in need of his changing power - grace. Seek, listen, obey...seek, listen, obey...seek, listen, obey. You must listen, hear, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21. You must endure to the end, when Christ brings salvation. Seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut 4:29.

Where is this Kingdom you are commanded to seek? Now when he was questioned by the Pharisees, as to when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with outward signs to be observed. Nor will they say, 'Look here!' or, 'Look over there!' For behold, the kingdom of God is within you and around you." Luke 17:20-21. And God is in you too: One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph 4:6. God .. is not far from each one of us, for in him we live and move and have our being, (Acts 17:27-28) - but we are not aware of his presence until we seek and find him, because we are in a lower physical dimension. And Christ is in you too: Christ in you, the hope of Glory. Col 1:27...Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Cor 13:5.

"The Father is in you all, Christ is in you, and the Kingdom of Heaven is in you; there, in your hearts, is where you will find them all. Know him there searching your hearts, and find him there trying your minds and hearts; incline your ears, and give ear to him there, who will render to everyone of you according to your words and works whether they are good or evil, (George Fox)." BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. Psalm 46:10.

In Luke, Jesus stresses hearing and obeying: Whoever comes to me, and hears my sayings, and does [practices, obeys] them, I will show you whom he is like.
He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation securely built on a rock;
and when the flood arose, the torrent beat violently upon that house, but could not shake it because it was founded upon a rock.
But he who hears, and does not [practice my teachings], is like a man who built a house upon the earth without a foundation;
against which the torrent struck violently, and immediately it collapsed; and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:46-49

Jesus said, The light of the body is the eye [spiritual eye].

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. [Forgiveness is more than with the mouth.]

16 Moreover when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men to be fasting. Truly I say to you that they have their reward.

17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face;

18 So that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but only to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.

19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal;

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break in or steal. [This is done by giving to the poor; not tithing, not giving to a sect — but by liberally giving to the poor. ]

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

22 The light of the body is the eye [spiritual eye]. If therefore your eye is single, your whole body will be full of light.

23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24 No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

25 Therefore I say to you, take no thought for your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26 Behold the fowls of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one moment to his life?

28 And why do you think about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin.

29 And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or, 'What shall we drink?' or, 'With what shall we be clothed?'

32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need these.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness;3 and all these things will be added to you.

34 Therefore do not take thought and worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will have its own concerns. Every day has enough trouble of its own."

Monday, 8 February 2010

Jesus said, Father knows the things you need, even before you ask him.

Take heed that you do not give to the poor in the presence of men, to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

2 Therefore when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have admiration from men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward.

3 But when you give, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4 That your giving may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret, will himself reward you openly.

5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward.

6 But when you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.

8 Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you need, even before you ask him.

9 [The Lord's Prayer has been repeated many, many times. But the real meaning has been hidden from most over the centuries. For that reason, a short explanation is added for each verse. Bracketed text is commentary or clarification.]

Therefore pray after this manner: Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed is your name. [Holy is your name.]

10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [We wait on the revealing of your kingdom, which is within and around us, which does not come with visible or outward signs, to which we aspire to be translated while still on earth; so that your will may be done by us (with your thoughts, words, and deeds prompted by you to us) on the earth, just as your will is done by those in heaven. For when we are in your kingdom, we will hear you tell us what to say, judge as you tell us to judge, and do what you show us to do — as your beloved son Jesus did your will when he was on the earth.]

11 Give us this day our daily bread. [Jesus said: Do not labor for food which perishes, but for the food, which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give to you. I am the bread of life, the bread from heaven. For it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63. Your daily bread is to quietly listen and hear the Lord speak words to you with encouragement, teachings, convictions, and commands. Blessed are those who hear the word of God [within your heart] and keep [obey] it. Luke 11:28. You must listen - hear, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21. All your holy ones are in your power. And they sit at your feet, each receiving your words. Deu 33:3]

12 And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.1 [Unless you give up anger, hate, and resentment, you will not be forgiven. If you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Forgiveness is more than with the mouth.]

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.2 For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. [Temptation: God will never allow a temptation to come on us, greater than we are capable of withstanding; but he definitely allows temptations to come our way so that we either grow stronger in resisting them, or in falling to them suffer the pain of sin, to motivate our improvement. Evil: The evil this prayer references is the evil in every man's heart, his own: selfishness, pride, covetousness, profane thoughts and words, lusts, sexual immorality, anger, greed, lying, cheating, drunkenness, stealing, etc. Jesus is the savior, the deliverer, the redeemer - who destroys the sin and evil in your heart, which has defiled you. Jesus, with your persistence to the end, will deliver you from the power of darkness, and will translate you into his kingdom while you are still on earth, Col 1:13, John 14:3,17:24 Eph 2:5-6.]
