The feast of the tabernacles was at hand. Jesus’ brothers came to him and said to him:
Leave this place and go to Judea so that your disciples can see the works that you do.
For no man does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If you are going to do these things, make yourself known to the world.
Even his own brothers did not believe in him.
Jesus said to them:
My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.
You go up to the feast: I will not go up to the feast because until the right time.
After saying these things he stayed in Galilee.
